What makes a successful addition? There are many issues that should be considered when adding to your home. First and foremost is how it will fit with your existing house and site. Will it look and feel natural or will it stand out and look, well, like an addition? Does it overpower or enhance your home? Is it logical and does it work with your existing traffic patterns and room relationships?

With an addition or renovation, existing constraints pose many challenges and some might even say problems.
